CIRCULAR

Sub: Re-admissions and change of college for students of old scheme for V and VII semester for the year 2005-2006 - reg. ...

With reference to the above, this is to inform you that the new scheme for B.E/ B.Tech. started in the year 2002-2003.  It is observed by the University that there are two peculiar cases as indicated below.

Case I :

There are some cases where in the students who took admission to B.E./ B.Tech courses prior to 2002-2003 i.e. in old scheme, lost eligibility / discontinued the course and joined the new scheme in III semester in the subsequent years. These students are not permitted to change the scheme(from new to old) for any subsequent semester. They have to continue and complete their studies in new scheme only.

Case II:

The students who joined new scheme from the year 2002-2003 are not permitted to change the scheme from new to old for any subsequent semester. They have to continue and complete their studies in new scheme only.

Further, many students approach the University either personally or through phone regarding the procedure to continue their studies in old scheme. University has sent many circulars in this regard as and when required. The Principal are once again requested to communicate to students the details of the course. If the students want to continue their studies in olds scheme  and your college is not offering old scheme in a particular branch,(*except cases 1 & 2 mentioned above)  the Principals are required to forward the  name of the such students as per the circular VTU/Aca/OS/2005-06/ 5800 dated 21st April 2005.

Hence, the colleges are informed to guide the students in this respect.

The contents of the circular may please be brought to the notice of all the concerned.
